Situation 01 · The one who molds herself to him
She's in love and wants to be liked. So she cancels her own plans for his, agrees with what she doesn't agree with, adjusts her tastes, is always free, always convenient. And she doesn't understand why the more she's there for him, the cooler he gets: less drawn, less wanting, more and more taking it for granted.
✗ The wrong way out
"Since he doesn't value me — I'll go cold, stop answering, play unavailable." That's just a move from open need into masked need: inside, the same dependence on his reaction, now under control. He'll read the tension beneath the game as fast as he read the eagerness.
✓ The right way out
Not to remove the warmth, but to regain her own: her plans, her tastes, her "this doesn't work for me." Not for effect, but for real. When she has a separate life again, there's something to be drawn to again — and the same warmth that repelled from dissolution starts to attract from wholeness.
